Questions and Answers:

Q1: Can workers camp at the site during construction work since the campground will be closed?

If the contractor is allowed to camp at the campgrounds, can the work hours be increased to allow construction work from 7:00am to 5:00pm A1: In discussion with the Recreation Planning team, the contractor may camp during the construction work; however, they will need to ensure the campgrounds are kept clean. Additionally, they will need to collect and remove all garbage as well as have the vault toilets pumped, bring in a port-a-toilet to use, or utilized their camper trailer functions.

Work starting at 7:00am and ending at 5:00pm is acceptable. This will be modified in the contract at time of award.

Q2: Is there a specific brand of pedestal, panel, or transformer that we prefer?

A2: We require that they meet the spec and are made in America but do not have specific brand that we require. If all items were equal, we would prefer to have equipment that matched those previously installed in phase 1 (brand discussed below) for future serviceability.

Transformer = Hammond Power Solutions, Panel = Eaton, Pedestal = Siemens/Talon Q3: From the panel to the pedestal, is that direct bury or within conduit.

A3: As shown in pedestal detail, there is 1” RGS conduit at the pedestal with a min 24” cover. Per drawing notes, conduit must be provided where buried under roadway and all locations where wiring penetrates ground surface. Otherwise, direct bury is acceptable for run between pedestals and panel. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Q4: From the panel to the pedestal, is that direct bury or within conduit.

Q5: Are the drawings for the existing water lines/system available to ensure they lines are not impacted during boring for electrical conduit installation?

A5: The original installation drawings from 1995 which include some red-line modifications, will be available electronically. They are generally reliable; however, they cannot be guaranteed 100% accurate.
