About this file
This document is Amendment 2 for the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument Lakeview Intern Housing Renovation project, issued by the Bureau of Land Management. The amendment includes additions to contract documents such as an Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) survey, updated electrical drawing sheets, and a clarification on power supply. Key clarifications involve asbestos removal, with an estimated 46 square feet to be addressed at specific locations including egress windows and kitchen areas, to be performed by a CDPHE-certified asbestos abatement contractor.
The amendment provides detailed guidance on electrical and fire suppression system requirements. The electrical service will involve coordination with Empire Electric, with power supply transitioning from overhead to underground within 50 feet of the building. The contractor is responsible for all aspects of the fire suppression design, with fire suppression pipes required to be located within the building's conditioned space. The project addresses several technical specifications, including sprinkler system installation, utility upgrades, and asbestos remediation, with the Bureau of Land Management providing specific instructions and expectations for the renovation work.
