140L1725Q0022 BLM-CO WRFO KIOSK INSTALLATION Q&A

Vendor Questions:

Is the Government providing the kiosks and the contractor provide everything else for install/removal?

Will the contractor reuse the same signage off the old kiosks for the new kiosks, or will there be new signage to use?

Will the Government provide signs/maps to the contractor to place in the new kiosks where there won’t be an old one to replace?

Government Response:

The contractor will be responsible for supplying the kiosks and labor for this project. This includes the removal of nine existing kiosks and the installation of fourteen new kiosks, which are specified as two-panel steel units as outlined in Section 2.1A. The contractor must procure these kiosks in accordance with Specification 1.1A and provide the necessary concrete for installation as outlined in Specification 2.1B, following the manufacturer’s instructions.

A list of designated locations for the kiosks is provided in Specification 3.1A, and a corresponding map can be found on page 12 of the specifications. Coordination with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and Project Inspector (PI) will be essential to determine the precise placement of the kiosks, as noted in Specification 4.1A. This coordination may be achieved through methods such as staking, paint markings, direct communication on-site, or other approved techniques.

The contractor is not to install signs/maps/data on the kiosk. The field office will remove any necessary information from old kiosks prior to their removal, and place new information on the installed kiosks.
