About this file

This is Amendment 1 to a federal solicitation for annual maintenance services on two Buckshot sand rails for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) California State Office. The amendment addresses four vendor questions regarding inspection access, available documentation, airbag components, and replacement parts specifications. Vendors are expected to provide pricing based on the basic maintenance outlined in the Statement of Work; any additional work discovered during maintenance will be addressed separately. Photos and specifications are available in Attachment 3, while maintenance history and prior service records will be provided upon award. The government clarified that Buckshot sand rails do not include airbags as suspension components, and vendors may use commercial-grade or off-road parts as replacements provided they meet or exceed established performance and safety standards.

The contract is issued by the BLM CA-State Office Business Services Branch (CA944) in Sacramento with Contracting Officer Laurie Ehlinger. This is a firm fixed purchase order with F.O.B. Destination terms, requiring all shipping and travel costs to be included in pricing. The period of performance runs from June 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026. Quotations must be submitted to laurie_ehlinger@ios.doi.gov in accordance with the attached solicitation, contract clauses, specifications, requirements, provisions, terms, and conditions. The amendment effective date is May 12, 2026, and the original solicitation number is 140L1226Q0016.

140L1226Q0016/0001 feature airbags as part of their current suspension systems¿my earlier reference to airbags was an oversight. While some sand rail models may use the term "airbags" to describe suspension components, Buckshot sand rails do not include such systems in their design.

Please see Attachment 1 Statement of Work revised.

4. Q: Are OEM Buckshot Racing parts required for any replacement components, or are equivalent commercial/off-road parts acceptable when they meet or exceed current performance and safety requirements?

A: Commercial-grade or off-road parts may be used as replacements, provided they satisfy or surpass the established performance and safety standards. These alternatives are considered acceptable.
