About this file

This file is a Questions and Answers document addressing clarifications on contract requirements for fume hood and biosafety cabinet services at the National Fish Health Research Laboratory in Kearneysville, WV.

The Q&A clarifies key operational details: the four clean room air handlers are located on the roof above the second story, with the high-containment lab situated on the first floor. The contractor is responsible for identifying, obtaining, and supplying all pre-filters and HEPA filters of the correct size and type. For decontamination of the high-containment lab, the contractor must supply all equipment and chemicals needed; the chemical previously used was Chlorine Dioxide. The high-containment lab measures approximately 1,900 square feet with 12-foot ceilings (subject to contractor verification), though the cubic footage of the ducting supply is unknown. Available schematics have been provided to bidders, and contractors are expected to verify dimensions and specifications on-site. This document provides essential technical clarifications that bidders must incorporate into their quotations for the one-year service contract under solicitation 140G0126Q0252.
