Research conducted at this facility includes study of infectious and noninfectious diseases of fishes and other aquatic organisms. The facility also conducts research on invasive fish species with the intent of better understanding the adaptations these fish are applying in these new, nonnative habitats and developing ways to stop their spread and potentially eradicate them.
3.0 SCOPE
The scope of work includes but is not limited to:
· Test (14) fume hoods – test performed includes:
1. Evaluation of the face velocity
2. The sound
3. Containment, monitor performance and the tracking ability of a VAV
· Test (3) snorkels -
· Test (11) biosafety cabinets - test performed includes:
1.Inflow velocity measurements 2.Downflow velocity measurements 3.HEPA filter integrity testing 4.Smoke pattern testing 5.Site installation testing and alarm calibration
· Decontaminate 1 biosafety cabinet
· Decontaminate (Chlorine Dioxide) High Containment Lab Facility and associated HEPA Filtration system – to include
1. Exterior monitoring for potential gas leaks (multipoint set locations)
2. Efficacy testing using biological indicators (multipoint set locations)
3. Report of monitoring outcomes to be divered immediately up completion of decontamination.
4. Report on biological indicators (treatment efficacy) to be delivered within 8 post treatment (indicator incubation dependent)
· Test (11) laminar flow units – test performed includes:
1. HEPA filter integrity testing
2. Airflow velocity profile 3.Light testing
· TAF (4) test
· In-line HEPA test (single pass)
· Test cleanroom (4) air handler (HEPA air handler)
· Supply material: pre-filter 24x24x4, HEPA, HEPA bag and pre-filter bag
Contractor is to verify all units, filters, HEPA’s, bag sizes and connections.
All materials shall be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner, recycling wherever possible.
