About this file

This document contains questions and responses regarding a solicitation to provide furniture removal, design services, and installation for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service regional office. The solicitation involves relocating existing Steelcase systems furniture from the Portland, Oregon office to a new location in Fort Vancouver, Washington. There is no new furniture to be supplied as part of this project, as the scope is strictly to disassemble the furniture at the current location, transport it, and then reassemble at the new office space. Some questions were asked to clarify whether floor-to-ceiling private office panels would be removed or reused at the new site, but the response indicated the final plans would depend on the new design requirements. No other details were provided regarding response dates, pricing terms, or award information.

Quesons and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Responses

Solicitaon 140FS124Q0033

Systems Furniture Move, Design Services & Installaon RD Eastside Federal Complex OR

QUESTION: New Furniture: Is there a list of the new items being installed in Port Vancouver?

RESPONSE: There is no new furniture involved in this project. It is to disassemble furniture, move to new location and reassemble.

QUESTION: Furniture Blending: Are we combining the removed Portland furniture with new items at the Port Vancouver location?

RESPONSE: There is no new furniture for this project.

QUESTION: Timeline: Is there a gap between removal and installation? If so, how long?

RESPONSE: Please review timeline in the Statement of Work.

QUESTION: Scope: Is this strictly a labor proposal and no furniture is to be supplied, correct?

RESPONSE: There is no new furniture for this project. The office is relocating to a new location.

QUESTION: What type/manufacturer of systems furniture is it?

RESPONSE: The systems furniture is Steel Case (uncertain of which series; see attached photos).

QUESTION: Are the floor to ceiling private office panels getting removed?

RESPONSE: That would be based on the need/new design at the Fort Vancouver site. Uncertain what our capability is for them. If we can’t use them, then they would more than likely state. We would take the furniture inside them, however.
