FWS – SCDOT‐Certified Limestone Rock Materials Requirement
Solicitation (RFQ) Questions and Responses:
1. Also, do you have any specific informa on about delivery dates and FOB?
The es mated delivery will begin October 15th, 2024, thru January 12th, 2025, during our normal business hours Monday‐Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm. FOB informa on was listed in the solicita on.
Please see the Specifica on’s sec on and the FAR for more informa on on FOB Des na on.
2. In the solicita on where it says a total of 15 truckloads of material will be delivered per day. Is that 15 truckloads total or 15 truckloads of each type of material?
This has been updated to 10 truckloads total per day of one material.
3. It appears that pricing is requested specifically for #4 Limestone and #57 Limestone, which, to my understanding, are rock materials rather than road base. Could you please confirm if the pricing request is limited to these two types of rock only, and whether the Limestone Road Base is to be considered separately? As it stands, I only see two line items listed, which seem to correspond to the #4 and #57 limestone.
Please provide a quote for SCDOT‐Certified limestone rock materials (#4 and #57).
4. Additionally, I noticed the specification for the product to be FDOT‐certified, which adheres to
Florida Department of Transportation standards. However, since the material is intended for a project location in South Carolina, I wanted to confirm if FDOT certification is necessary or if there are alternative local requirements that should be met.
Please see the response to question #3.
5. My suppliers have all stated that they can provide South Carolina (SCDOT) certified limestone, but not Florida certified (FDOT). Will that be acceptable?
To procure FDOT, the trucking cost would be extensive as it would have to come out of Florida. Please advise.
Please see the response to question #3.
