About this file
This document is a Q&A response related to a Request for Quote (RFQ) for FDOT-Certified Limestone Road Base. The RFQ is being issued by the Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service. Key details include:
The solicitation requires FDOT-Certified Limestone Road Base, with a specified gradation of #4 material. A total of 15 truckloads per day of each material type will be required, with an estimated delivery period of September 2nd through December 3rd, 2024. Offers are due by August 23rd. Partial payments will be made upon material receipt and acceptance. There was some initial confusion around delivery dates, but the government clarified the 92-day delivery window. Vendors must be able to provide the #4 limestone material as specified, as #5 material is not acceptable.

FWS – FDOT‐Certified Limestone Road Base Requirement
Solicitation (RFQ) Questions and Responses:
1. The subcontractor who we are working with on this RFQ has #5 but may not have #4. They said they are about the same. Is this acceptable or not?
No, number 5 is not acceptable because it is too large. Number 4 is required per the specifica ons.
2. Also, do you have any specific informa on about delivery dates and FOB?
The es mated delivery will begin September 2nd thru December 3rd, 2024, during our normal business hours Monday‐Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm. FOB informa on was listed in the solicita on.
Please see the Specifica on’s sec on and the FAR for more informa on on FOB Des na on.
3. In this solicita on I no ced a discrepancy between two references to delivery dates. One sec on of the solicita on lists TBD (92‐day window) for the commencement and final delivery dates but another says August‐15 to November‐15. Considering that offers are not due un l August 23rd I would assume that the August‐15 to Noverber‐15 delivery window is not correct.
Please see response to ques on number two above.
4. In the solicita on where it says a total of 15 truckloads of material will be delivered per day. Is that 15 truckloads total or 15 truckloads of each type of material?
15 loads per day of each material.
5. The solicita on makes reference to par al payments for invoicing. What is the exact invoicing schedule for this project?
Once material has been received and accepted, the Contractor is free to invoice.
