About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the rehabilitation of a geothermal HVAC system at Jackson National Fish Hatchery in Jackson, Wyoming. The project involves furnishing and installing eleven replacement geothermal heat pump units and two electric duct heater units, along with a sand-trap installation to address damage caused by dissolved sand in the spring water source. The hatchery building, constructed in 2011, currently has five of its eleven units inoperable due to sand damage accumulated over 15 years.
The contractor must furnish and install heat pumps equivalent to specified Daikin Applied models for each location (Main Office, Manager's Office, Hallway, Breakroom, Shop, Entry, Electrical Room, Recycle Room, Small Pond Room, and two Large Pond Room units). Replacement units must match salient characteristics including capacity (MBH), entering water temperature range, COP/EER, voltage/phase, dimensions, filter size, control interface compatibility, corrosion resistance suitable for spring-water conditions, and connection sizes. The contractor must field-verify existing unit specifications prior to procurement. Additionally, the contractor shall install a cyclonic/centrifugal separator (blow-down trap) on the 2.5-inch copper condenser supply line and replace two electric duct heater units with equivalent capacity and performance units. Completion of all testing, startup, commissioning, and on-site staff training must occur by November 15, 2026, with the period of performance from October 1, 2026 to November 30, 2026. Work is performed during normal duty hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) at Jackson NFH, 1500 Fish Hatchery Road, Jackson, WY 83001-9805. Quality control must comply with industry standards and all Federal, State, and County regulations for disposal of used parts, fluids, and other materials. A site visit is strongly recommended and may be conducted September 7-8, 2026, with at least two business days' advance coordination required.
