About this file
This document is a Telecom Addendum for the Bon Secour Headquarters/Visitor Center detailing specific telecommunications infrastructure requirements. The scope includes extending fiber optic connectivity from an existing building to a new building, which involves splicing and running fiber optic cable, terminating with connectors compatible with a Cisco 9200 48-port PoE Switch, and installing a two-inch metal conduit. The contractor is responsible for running and terminating three CAT 6A cables to access points, creating mounting surfaces for access points, and relocating an existing government cabinet while maintaining manufacturer clearance requirements.
The government will provide and install a Cisco 9200 48-port PoE Switch, three Cisco 9120 Access Points, and the existing cabinet. The contractor must furnish all CAT6A cables with proper terminations to patch panels and wall drops, mounting surfaces for access points compatible with ceiling materials, fiber optic cable and appurtenances, conduit, and a 4'x8' 3/4" backboard for telecommunications equipment. The project is associated with Solicitation Number 140FGA25R0004 for the Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service's Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge headquarters office replacement.
