About this file
This is a Statement of Work for Design Services at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge for a boardwalk purchase project (Project 23-001D). The contract requires the supply and installation of an integral railing system made of 316 stainless steel components including handrails, posts, cables, support brackets, hardware, and toe boards. The contractor must install two four-foot lockable gates on each side of the west boardwalk to provide staff access to building ground level, with all gate components matching the railing specifications and constructed of 316 stainless steel.
The project also requires a complete LumenPod 16 lighting system by Wagner (or approved equal) installed on both sides of the boardwalk handrail running the full length. The lighting specifications include night sky compliant LED lights pointed toward the ground, 2700K or amber color output with asymmetric beam angle, 24V power requirement with 100W power supply, temperature range from -40°C to +60°C, and IP54 outdoor ratings or better. Materials must be delivered to the employee parking lot east of the building, with the supplier required to identify weights of heavy equipment and preferred lifting solutions prior to delivery. Submittals require plan details for all connections, railing, brackets, anchor attachments, lighting components, toe boards, and gates, with government review completed within 14 days. Points of contact include Refuge Deputy Manager Michael Dunphy (435-720-3766) and Contracting Officer Representative Michael Wandersee (720-813-8224).
