About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details design services for a boardwalk purchase project at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge (Project 23-001D). The contract requires supplying an integral railing system with 316 stainless steel components, including handrails, posts, cables, support brackets, hardware, and a toe board, along with two four-foot lockable gates on the west boardwalk. Additionally, the project specifies a comprehensive lighting system using LumenPod 16 (or approved equal) LED lighting that must be night sky compliant, with lights pointed downward, operating at 24V, rated for outdoor use, and meeting specific technical requirements such as 2700K color temperature and IP54 ratings.

The document outlines specific delivery instructions, requiring materials to be delivered to the employee parking lot area east of the building, with the supplier responsible for identifying heavy equipment weights and preferred lifting solutions. Submittal requirements include detailed plans for connections, railing, brackets, anchor attachments, lighting, and gates. The project points of contact are Michael Dunphy (Refuge Deputy Manager) and Michael Wandersee (Contracting Officer Representative/Technical Representative). All submittals must be reviewed within 14 days, and contractors must provide comprehensive documentation comparing any proposed alternative materials or methods in detail.
