144804.01 System for Award Management (formerly Central Contractor Registration)

A contractor/vendor must be registered in the System for Award Management referred to as SAM htps://www.sam.gov/index.html) in order to receive contracts, purchase orders, and payments from most federal agencies, including the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. By having all agencies use the same listing system, vendors will no longer need to submit separate Standard Form 129, Solicitation Mailing List Applications, to each agency.

SAM is a self-service database. Vendors register themselves and maintain their own information through the SAM web site. In order to register or learn more about SAM, go to:

htps://www.sam.gov/index.html. You will need to know your Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number.
