Questions and Answers

1. Need specifications more specific on Jack gates, Slide Gates, Overflow Valves and Assemblies (waterman or equal), Inline valve and assemblies, (Fresno Inline Series 4000 or equal), Air vent assembly.

Response: The currently in-service “jacks gates” are to be replaced by “inline valve and assemblies” which are requested to be Fresno Inline Series 4000 or equal and the specific model must be compatible with the size and type of pipe that will be installed. See the attached specification sheet.

The currently in-service “slide gates” are to be replaced by the “overflow valves and assemblies” which are requested to be Waterman or equal and the specific model must be compatible with the size and type of pipe that will be installed. See the attached specification sheet. A photograph of an installed overflow valve and assembly is attached for your reference.

There is no specific manufacturer of the “air vent assembly.” Per the statement of work, the air vent assembly is constructed from a 4-inch diameter PVC pipe and is 6 to 8 feet in length. The air vent assembly provides for a ventilation stack that is used to help regulate air pressure in the pipeline. These are placed every 1,450 feet and the top must be covered with mesh to deter animal entry. A photograph of an installed air vent assembly is attached for your reference.

2. On the Hazard Unit 273/273A Redesign, it says 11 overflow valves but shows only 9.

Response: Please see the attached revised map.

3. On the Hazard Unit 273/273A Redesign, it says 6 inline valves but shows 7.

Response: Please see the attached revised map.
