1. I am reading through the RFP regarding any potential emergency repairs that may require repair over the course of the IDIQ. Will you explain how that works for an out of state roofing contractor, and the time frame you require for repair on and emergency roof leak or repair? The time for response is no different for an out of state contractor as a local one.

· Our SOW currently states the following:

Request for Quotes Inspections (Emergency/Routine):

0. Once an Emergency/Routine Request for Quote(s) is made to the contractor, the contractor shall appear onsite to conduct the RFQ Inspection within 3 calendar days of initial notification.

0. Once an Emergency or Routine Request for Quote(s) is completed the contractor shall provide a quote within 7 calendar days after the inspection and be submitted to the Contracting Officer and the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) via email.

1. Many of the project roof areas were not accessible during the site walk. Per preventative maintenance scope of work and pricing schedule, contractors must account for a firm number of drains to inspect, clean, repair, etc. Please provide the number of roof drains for each contractor to assume. See updated SOW paragraph 4.a.i

1. Please confirm the inspection contractor qualifications will not require certifications (IIBEC’s Registered Roof Observer [RRO] or Registered Roof Consultant [RRC]; NRCIA’s Affiliate, SB721, Certified, or Forensic Membership, etc.) not explicitly listed within the solicitation. The only requirements are those explicitly listed in the solicitation.

1. Please confirm if the existing roof systems have an active manufacturers’ warranty. If so, provide a copy of the manufacturer’s warranty. Some, but not all, roof systems have existing warranties. These can be provided to the successful offeror after award.

1. Please confirm if the existing roofs currently incorporate an electronic leak detection (ELD) or similar system. No such system is installed.

1. The project roof systems incorporate vegetative, rock ballast, and paver overburden, severely limiting access to inspecting the existing waterproofing components. One form of roof leak inspections involves thermal imagery, but this requires observations of the roof areas outside of typical business hours (evenings, sunrise, etc.). Would inspection activities outside of the 7:00AM-4:00PM time window be acceptable if deemed necessary by the awarded contractor and coordinated in advance? Yes.

1. The “Price and Bid Schedule” document includes a worksheet for “Roof Repair” and “Torched Roof.” The information within each worksheet is the same. No other reference to “Torched Roof” is within the other bid documents. Please clarify what these two worksheets represent. These represent prices for typical repairs on a per unit basis.
