About this file

This is a Questions and Answers Log document for the Playground Hazard Mitigation SIPI solicitation (140A2326Q0244) issued by the Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs Bureau of Indian Education. The document appears to be an appendix containing clarifications and responses to contractor inquiries regarding the solicitation requirements, rather than substantive procurement details. The Q&A format provides guidance to potential bidders on interpreting solicitation terms, specifications, and requirements related to playground hazard mitigation work at Building 135. As a reference document, it does not contain independent procurement information such as response deadlines, pricing terms, set-asides, or award criteria, but rather serves to supplement the primary solicitation documents by addressing specific questions raised during the pre-award phase.

1. Ensure surface is prepped correctly: Galvanized metal must be cleaned, deglossed, and possibly lightly etched or treated with a galvanized-metal wash/pretreatment. Remove any rost present.

2. Primer should be compatible with galvanized metal such as "galvanized/metal etching primer" or "vinyl primer for galvanized surfaces."

3. Ensure vinyl topcoat is formulated for exterior metal.8/25/26
