About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ 140A1626QD002, a Firm-Fixed-Price physical security systems technical refresh at a federal facility in Lenexa, Kansas.

The requirement involves upgrading access control and video surveillance systems as a routine modernization initiative rather than addressing system failures. Funds are available, and no bid, payment, or performance bonds are required. Vendors must determine appropriate quantities of doors and cameras based on site assessment and professional judgment. The solution must be hosted on-premise with 30-day video retention capability, though FedRAMP-certified cloud hosting is permissible. The facility uses HSPD-12 credentials and requires compliance with local Lenexa fire codes and NFPA regulations. Vendors may mount new cable pathways subject to 36 CFR 1234 subpart K wall penetration compliance requirements. PoE availability at equipment locations is unknown, requiring vendors to assess existing infrastructure and plan for new cabling if necessary. Existing network bandwidth supports HD video streaming, and the access control and camera systems are not currently integrated. The project completion target is 180 days from contract award, with all costs (installation labor, software licensing, and equipment) included in a single all-inclusive price. No components must be retained from the existing system.
