About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding solicitation number 140A1224Q0007 from the Wapato Irrigation Project for the delivery of fabricated tee, spool, and blind flange setups. The solicitation requests fifty-two separate pieces from twelve different sizes of tees, spools, and blind flanges to complete thirteen delivery setups. Clarification is provided that while the statement of work references delivering thirteen setups, the actual number of pieces needed totals fifty-two. In addition, one of the drawings is corrected to indicate a twelve inch by twelve inch by eight inch tee side view rather than a ten inch length. The solicitation is issued by the Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs Northwest Region.

140A1224Q0007 WIP Vees, Spools & Flanges Questions & Answers 1/11/2024

Q1. Can we get more drawings? Are there missing drawings for the following:

16 x 8” 12 x 8” 20 x 10” 24 x 12”

A1. If you look at the price schedule they are listed as 8"x16", 8"x12", 10"x20" and12"x24" they are all shown on the drawings in the upper right hand corner the first number is the diameter the second number is the length of spool.

Q2. Are the descriptions of the spools “backwards” or do they need expansions, which we don’t think is possible? Can we get clarification.

A2. The spools are labeled on the price schedule, first number is the diameter, the second number is length of spool and if it says with 2" outlet a 2" thread-o-let is to be welded on as shown on the drawings.

Q1. First line of the SOW states we will “deliver thirteen fabricated tee, spool, and blind flange setups.” However, it seems the request is for a total of 52 separate pieces drawn from 12 different sizes of tees, spools, and blind flanges.

A1. The “thirteen” is a reference to the number of delivery setups we have. The 52 is the number of pieces we need to compete the 13 delivery setups. That may be difficult to differentiate. In this case, the 52 separate items are what WIP needs.

Q2. The bottom-most view on page 11 of 13 of the drawings is labeled “12”x12”x10” TEE, SIDE VIEW”. We believe that should read “12”x12”x8””. Since this is one of the items actually on the RFQ to be quoted, we want to make sure we’re seeing that correctly.

A2. Yes, it should read 12” x 12” x 8”.
