About this file

This document contains a government file related to a federal solicitation opportunity. The solicitation is for Alaska Region Hydrogen Conexes from the Department of Commerce National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The solicitation seeks proposals for hydrogen conexes to be permitted and installed within 60 days of notice to proceed, as the required permitting timeframe has been extended from 30 days in the original Statement of Work. The file notes that the Fire Marshal's office estimated a 4-5 week turnaround for permits but confirmed they could not meet the original 30 day timeframe, leading NOAA to extend the period to 60 days in the revised Attachment 1 Statement of Work dated July 2, 2020.

1305M320RNWWV0008 – Alaska Region Hydrogen Conexes

1. I reached out to the Fire Marshal’s office and they indicated that their current turn around for a permit is 4-5 weeks. Having worked with the Fire Marshal’s office frequently in the past I am confident they will not be able to meet the desired timeline of 30 days after notice to proceed (unless the 30 days is 30 business days). Should we present a proposal with the longer lead time or just not submit a proposal since the desired date cannot be achieved?

NOAA Response: The required days for permitting have been extended in the Statement of Work from 30 days to 60 days. Please see the list of attachments for the revised Attachment 1 – Statement of Work 7.2.20
