About this file

This is a Minimum Insurance Requirements document issued by the Broward County Transportation Department for a Paint and Body Repair contract (TRN2132542B1) with Broward County serving as the certificate holder. The contract pertains to paint and body repair services for the BCT Bus Fleet and various other Broward County agencies requiring such services. The insurance requirements document outlines the mandatory coverage types and minimum liability limits that contractors must maintain throughout the contract term and for three years following completion of work for claims-made policies.

Contractors must obtain General Liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, Auto Liability coverage with $1,000,000 combined bodily injury and property damage limits, Workers' Compensation at statutory limits with Employers Liability of $500,000 per accident, and Garage Keepers' Legal Liability coverage. Additionally, contractors must carry property insurance with all-risk coverage at completed value with maximum deductibles not exceeding 5% of completed value or $10,000. Broward County must be named as an additional insured on all liability policies, which shall provide primary coverage without contribution from the County. A waiver of subrogation in favor of Broward County is required, and contractors must provide proof of insurance maintenance for at least three years after contract completion. Installation floaters are required if Builder's Risk or Property insurance are not carried.
