About this file

This is a Minimum Insurance Requirements document for the Broward County Transportation Department's ChargePoint DC Chargers Repair, Rebuild, Exchange Parts, and Maintenance Services contract. The document outlines the mandatory insurance coverage that contractors and vendors must maintain to perform work under this open-end contract for ChargePoint DC charger repair and maintenance services for Broward County Transportation Department and other eligible County agencies. Vendors must provide comprehensive general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, auto liability coverage with $1,000,000 combined bodily injury and property damage limits (waivable if no driving is required), excess liability/umbrella coverage of $1,000,000, workers' compensation at statutory limits, employers liability of $500,000 per accident, and pollution/environmental liability with a maximum deductible of $10,000. Additionally, an Installation Floater is required if Builder's Risk or Property insurance is not carried, with coverage designated as "All Risk" at completed value and a maximum wind/flood deductible not exceeding 5% of completed value.

Broward County must be named as an additional insured on all liability policies, and the vendor's insurance shall provide primary coverage without contribution from the County. A waiver of subrogation in favor of Broward County is required, and for claims-made policies, insurance coverage and evidence of insurance must be maintained for a minimum of three years after contract completion. The certificate holder for insurance purposes is Broward County's Risk Management Division located at 115 South Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301. All vendor submissions must be made electronically through BPRO with a submission receipt confirmation, and vendors are encouraged to submit documentation in advance of the closing deadline to allow for timely and comprehensive review by the County.
