Questions and Answers Dated August 9, 2024 Q: Can we visit the site at any time (during business hours) before the bid close date?

A: A site visit is schedule for Friday, August 9, 2024 at 10am local time at the Great Basin Plant Materials Center located at 2055 Schurz HW, Fallon, NV 89406.

NOTE: The visit is strictly a walk through, any/all questions shall be submitted in writing to Contract Specialist, Blake Boyer no later than Monday, August 12, 2024, 5 PM ET. Quotes are due no later than August 15, 2024, 5:00pm ET.

Q: Can you please clarify something for me? In the Evaluation Criteria it states "ISA certified tree workers to do the work." Does that require that ALL workers on site have the certification, or just one?

A: All

Q: We currently have five ISA Certified Arborists on staff. Will that be sufficient for the terms?

A: Yes

Q: When is the bid due/ where do I send it?

A: Contract Specialist, Blake Boyer @ blake.boyer@usda.gov

Q: All Trees in Location A?

A: Yes, all trees in Location A. The SOW says all dead and dying poplars, which I meant to mean all trees.

Q: Is there a preferred chip size A: No Q: Chips in Location A blown or in Piles?

A: Piles would be fine Q: Can we drive in the field adjacent to Location A?

A: Yes, though watch out for the alfalfa valve and try not to drive in the plots on the North end of the field.

Q: Anything in Location A we need to watch out for?

A: There’s an alfalfa valve on the East edge of Location A. Care should be taken around the powerlines on the West side of Location A. There’s also a Well and some underground utilities under the power lines.

Q: What should we do with the debris from Location B, C, and D?

A: Chip the smaller branches and deposit the chips in Location A. Larger branches and debris need to be hauled off with all the other large material.

Q: There’s a small dead tree and some woody debris in Location D. Do those need to be removed?

A: Yes. All small debris can be chipped and deposited in Location A. Larger debris can be hauled off.

Q: Where can we haul the larger tree material?

A: The only requirement is to remove the material from the PMC, and that any disposal legal per state, county, and city regulations.

Q: Would we be notified whether or not we are awarded the contract?

A: You will be notified at the time of award by the CO.

Q: Can we fell trees to the North into the Adjacent field?

A: Yes
