About this file

This document provides specifications for rehabilitation of the ARS Field Station Dam in Woodward County, Oklahoma. The project will rehabilitate the single purpose, high hazard, earthen embankment dam constructed in 1937 to meet current high hazard criteria. Key work items include boring and jacking a new 30-inch principal spillway pipe through the existing dam, building a new principal spillway tower, and building a roller compacted concrete auxiliary spillway over the top of the existing dam. Additional items are disposing of and filling in the existing concrete auxiliary spillway, clearing and grubbing, and disposing of trees and vegetation from designated areas. Bid item 2 involves removal of the existing principal spillway inlet, trash guard, segments of conduit and water line, power lines and poles, and existing pump container and appurtenances. The concrete from the auxiliary spillway is to be removed from the site by the contractor. The Department of Agriculture Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation is the agency for this federal contract opportunity.
