About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) spreadsheet for Request for Quote (RFQ) 12FPC125Q0057, related to fabrication and installation of a dump bed on a government vehicle. The Q&A addresses two specific technical questions about bed side dimensions, with the government clarifying that bed side heights can range from 12" to 24" and that any height within this range is acceptable.

The associated federal contract opportunity is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside solicitation issued by the Department of Agriculture's Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation. The contract will be a firm fixed-price award using Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) methodology, with the pickup and delivery location in Elsberry, MO. The NAICS code is 336211 (Motor Vehicle Body Manufacturing), and vendors must quote all Contract Line Items (CLINs) to be considered for the award.

1In reading the sides dimension spec on this spec sheet it says ….12’’X 24’’ sides?
Can we get an explanation. The bed side height can range from 12” – 24” in height. The specification should read - The bed will have 12" to 24" sides.
2Is this a typo? A 16’ Bodies smallest side dimension is 18” In addition, the body company is telling me the 16’ options for drop down sides is either 13 or 18 inches. The government's requirement for the side height is from 12" to 24". Any height within this range is acceptable.
