About this file
This document appears to be a set of Questions and Answers related to a federal contract opportunity for the Prescott National Forest's Maverick Integrated Resource Stewardship Corridor (IRSC) Heritage Survey project.
The project scope includes conducting an intensive archaeological pedestrian survey of approximately 1,907 acres within the Prescott National Forest to identify and evaluate cultural resource sites that may be impacted by proposed forest management activities. The contractor will be required to record newly identified sites, revisit and re-evaluate previously documented sites, and produce a comprehensive cultural resources survey report. The period of performance is from September 30, 2024 to September 30, 2025. The proposal due date is May 3, 2024, and the award will be based solely on price. No technical proposal is required. The document also provides clarification that the archaeological work falls under the $11.5M small business size standard, while the cultural services may fall under the $34M size standard for Forest Fire Suppression and Fuels Management.

The proposal due date is 5/3/2024.
Could you please elaborate on if the cultural services in the RFP fall under the $34MM size standards Forest Fire Suppression and Fuels Management?
The archaeological pedestrian survey work falls under the 11.5MM size standard. Below is an example of the work to be performed in this project:
Pedestrian survey is an archaeological method that involves walking over a project area to observe and record the locations of above-ground resources and features. It is used to identify and define archaeological sites and their boundaries based on the evidence of human activity on the ground surface. Pedestrian survey also helps to understand the physical and environmental aspects of the project area.
