About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) with two specific contractor questions and corresponding government responses related to a USDA Agricultural Research Service project for replacing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in a pump house located in Maricopa, Arizona. The RFI addresses two key logistical details: (1) confirmation of on-site restroom availability for contractors, which the government affirmed are available, and (2) clarification on VFD replacement procedures, with the government specifying that only one VFD can be replaced at a time during a water pump shutdown. The solicitation involves a construction project valued between $25,000 and $100,000, with a site visit scheduled for Tuesday, 17 June 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, and proposal submissions due by 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday, 9 July 2025, to be emailed to theodore.blume@usda.gov.
