QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1) Is there an LOP on this project?
Yes
2) If there is an LOP, what is the time period?
On-the-ground disturbance may not begin until August 1, 2025. And the current contract period ends December 31, 2025.
3) If the equipment for construction doesn't enter the stream channel can the Fish and Wildlife permit be waived?
A Fish and Wildlife permit will not be required. Per the NEPA process, Fish and Wildlife has already been consulted with on this project.
4) Can a poured in place concrete deck be used verses road base, assuming the bridge designer will accept it? No, please adhere to the drawings and specifications, which call for aggregate base on the galvanized bridge deck.
5) Can the concrete footings be poured in place verses pre cast using the same dimensions and rebar plan? Yes, as long as the contract drawings and specifications for concrete properties are still being met, that will be acceptable.
6) If the footings can be poured in place, can the need for road base under the footings be eliminated? Yes, as long as the native soil underneath the footings is undisturbed.
7) If the sub grade is native soil verses road base, can the compaction test be waived? Compaction testing will not be required for the native soil.
8) Confirming that the Baily Bridge gets hauled to the forest service yard just north of Bridgeport?

9) Will the forest service provide a forklift to unload the Baily Bridge at the FS yard?
No, the contractor will be responsible for unloading the bridge components.
10) Would it be acceptable to epoxy in the anchor bolts after the bridge beams are set?
