About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation 1282A726Q0035, a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for pest control services at the San Dimas National Technology and Development Program. The solicitation is set aside for 100% small businesses and represents a new requirement with no previous contract history. The facility does not currently have fly lights or insect light traps installed, and the government will work with the contractor within reason regarding the provision of exterior rodent bait stations upon award.

Key service requirements include routine pest control on Wednesdays with flexibility to reschedule Monday through Thursday if the routine day falls on a holiday. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) requires a minimum of 20 ground squirrel bait stations, though the government acknowledges California restrictions on bait use and will work with the contractor on permissible alternatives while ensuring compliance with all government, state, county, and city regulations. Treatment of gophers and ground squirrels is limited to approximately 9.84 acres of undeveloped areas and irrigated landscaped areas (specific acreage referenced in PWS Section E.4). The contractor must address all pest types including rodents and insects classified as incidental invaders of concern, following applicable regulations. Both the prime contractor and any subcontractor must be properly licensed with the California Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB) and employ licensed operators to provide structural pest control services in San Dimas. Emergency service calls are anticipated but were not quantified in previous periods.
