About this file
This file is a Question and Answer document addressing clarifications regarding provider qualifications, scheduling, and staffing requirements for the Timber Lake Job Corps Center Medical Services contract opportunity.
The government allows qualified healthcare providers to deliver medical services, including physicians (MD/DO), Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants, provided they meet state compliance requirements and hold appropriate Oregon prescriptive authority. The anticipated on-site commitment is approximately 7 hours per week, though this may vary based on operational needs, holidays, and center closures, with the exact schedule to be finalized upon contract award. Regarding backup coverage, short-term absences by the primary provider may be accommodated through schedule adjustments, but longer-term absences will require a backup provider; however, identification and credentialing of a backup provider is not mandated in the initial quotation submission. The underlying solicitation (1282A726Q0031) is a Request for Quotation for comprehensive medical services including examinations, assessments, treatment, prescription issuance, immunizations, health monitoring, and preventive care, issued by the Department of Agriculture Forest Service as a 100% small business set-aside, with funds currently unavailable for award.
