About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file dated 03/21/2025 for a sheep shearing solicitation. The Q&A addresses three key questions about the sheep shearing process, with consistent responses emphasizing the timing and logistical requirements. The key details include:

The shearing must occur as close to April 15th as possible, with specific goals of preventing heat stress when sheep are turned out to pasture and allowing enough wool regrowth to prevent fly strike. The contractor can complete the shearing within two to three days, with a preference for a two-day completion timeframe. The responses indicate precise timing is critical to animal health and should be carefully planned around the mid-April transition period for the sheep.
