QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. Is the total width of all the cattle guards 14'?
The total width of each individual cattleguard is 14 feet. Therefore, a vehicle 13 feet in width should be able to safely pass over each cattleguard.
2. Are bases required for the cattle guards? Bases are called out in the SOW but not in the schedule of items.
Bases are indeed required for each cattleguard. They are included within the cattleguard line item on the Schedule of Items.
3. Are wings priced by the piece or set?
Cattleguard wings are priced by the piece. Per the Statement of Work and Schedule of Items, 6 individual pieces are required.
4. Are there any drawings available?
There are no drawings available. All requirements for this contract are contained in the Statement of Work and/or the Schedule of Items. No other specifications will be provided for this solicitation.
5. Are there any detailed drawings of the U-80 model cattleguards and cattleguard wings? Such as metal type, dimensions and color they need to be painted?
- There are no detailed drawings of either the cattleguards or the cattleguard wings. All requirements for this contract are contained in the Statement of Work and/or the Schedule of Items. No other specifications will be provided for this solicitation.
- There is no specification for the type of metal of which the cattleguards will be composed. However, the U- 80 specification requires that the cattleguards be able to support a loading of 60 tons (or 120,000 pounds).
- The cattleguards should be 14 feet in width. Therefore, a vehicle 13 feet in width should be able to safely pass over each cattleguard.
- Our Forest would prefer the cattleguards to be painted yellow.
6. Can you clarify the color of the cattle guard. Green and Yellow are available.
The Forests would prefer the yellow color option.
7. Regarding the GPS coordinates provided in the scope of work. Based on our analysis, we believe the following addresses may be correct, but we would appreciate your confirmation of the exact delivery locations:

- There is no physical address for the Santa Fe NF administrative site. The Statement of Work includes directions to this delivery location.
o Below is a screenshot of the access to this delivery location. The site is within Santa Fe, NM and the nearest major intersection is between Cerrillos Road and Camino Carlos Rey.
- The physical address for the Las Vegas Ranger Station is correct.
8. Is the RFQ sent for the job would be to install all cattle guards and if so where is the location that they will be placed?
This RFQ is for only what is included in the RFQ 127EAV24Q0082, no other work is authorized. Please thoroughly read the requirements provided.
