About this file

This is a Statement of Work for the installation of a stacked washer and dryer system at a USDA AMS Science & Technology Program greenhouse facility. The contractor must provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, transportation, permits, and incidentals to complete the installation. The scope includes removal and disposal of an existing double-bowl utility sink and installation of a new single-bowl utility sink with hot and cold water supply and drain connections. The contractor must install complete service infrastructure for the stacked washer and dryer set, including a new dryer exhaust vent with exterior weatherproof cover and core-drilled vent hole, a 230VAC single-phase electrical circuit for the dryer originating from the existing electrical panel (not exceeding 30 feet run length) with required breaker, conduit, and outlet complying with the National Electrical Code, and a 2-inch plumbing drain washer box with PEX hot and cold supply lines. Additional work includes installation of a 120VAC single-phase 6-gallon tank-type water heater with all plumbing and electrical connections, cinder block wall demolition to access the existing drain line, and installation of the government-furnished Samsung frontload washer and dryer with required stacking attachment kit, leveling, and securing.

Deliverables include a fully installed and operational washer and dryer system, functional single-bowl sink with hot and cold water and drain, completed dryer venting system, completed electrical circuit with panel inspection, installed water heater with operational hot water supply, cleaned site with waste removal, and provided warranty information and documentation. The contractor must coordinate facility entry and any electrical panel access or water shutdowns with USDA personnel and ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal codes. Work must be scheduled during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or coordinated evenings and weekends with the designated point of contact, with completion timeframe to be negotiated after contract award while minimizing disruptions to facility operations. Acceptance is contingent upon verification of complete and functional installations, code compliance inspection, debris removal confirmation, and receipt of warranties and documentation.
