Question: Can you provide additional clarity regarding CLIN 0001CA, “reconfigure fuel fill system from pressure to standard over-wing”?

Answer: Recently acquired information on the TH-57 fuel system indicates the helicopter utilizes a closed/pressure refuel system, however, the TH-57 does support over wing (gravity) refueling.

As a result, the requirement to reconfigure the fuel system will be removed from the Schedule.

Question: Can the Government describe/explain the current configuration of the start switch, CLIN 0001CB?

Answer: Reference the photos on pages 2 and 3. The Navy uses a guarded switch, the standard configuration is a push button style. The bidder can find the correct switch part number and configuration in Chapter 67 of the Bell 206 IPB and Maintenance Manual.

Question: Can the Government clarify the requirements in CLIN 0001DA, “remove all unnecessary military radios, radar altimeter, wiring, equipment and provisions”?

Answer: USDA does not have wiring diagrams or equipment lists from the Navy. See photo on page 3 of the standard (as-is) Navy TH-57 instrument panel and pedestal. The bidder would need to go from this current configuration to the one shown in attachment B and C (pages 58-59) of the RFQ. If any Navy installed equipment or wiring is not required for our equipment/configuration, it would be unnecessary and could be removed from the airframe.
