Solicitation 12639522R0051 Contractor Questions and Answers
1. Is there an associated map with satellite imagery reference and estimated pipe length that I'm not seeing? No.
0. The write lists "over a mile long" but nothing further.
1. In reporting infiltration, are you looking for an extended flow analysis or will visual observation of infiltration indicators suffice in the final product/report? Due to the location of this sewer line, Contractor shall utilize whatever tools necessary to provide a detailed report of the condition of the manholes and sewer line.
1. The write-up asks that the contractor "utilize infiltration sensors, cameras, droves, GIS mapping"
1. Does the final product require a GIS produced map overlayed on satellite imagery or is a system map already established and instead requires footage confirmation and an up-to-date inspection? Old drawings were developed in the 70s. These drawings identify “as-built” conditions and will need to be verified and regenerated utilizing GIS mapping or other methodology.
1. What is the anticipated due date? It’s 150 days, however, we may consider this negotiable. Please include a proposed recommended timeline and how seasonal weather would affect the project.
3. The project specifies that the project must be completed within 150 days. However, as we head into the winter months and depending on weather the sewer system runs along Right of Way, this could involve snow removal challenges if the project must be done prior to summer 2023 but cannot start until the winter months of 2022.
1. Are there any guidelines for the recommended repairs product? Repairs are not anticipated under this study. The Government will consider recommendations for repairs as provided by the Contractor in the final report.
1. Does the project include inspecting and mapping the full length of lateral sewer lines and associated manholes beyond the identified 17 located on the mainline (i.e. services to buildings)? Or does the product only require identifying the service line access points (i.e. the project will not require a lateral launch system)? No, lateral services to buildings are not a part of the scope of this project. See amendment 0001.
5. The document states "main and lateral sewer system lines including any adjacent manholes"
1. With regards to reporting and meeting with infrastructure owners. As a distance company, are we allowed to conduct pre-construction engagements via zoom? Yes, that’s typically how we conduct project kick-off meetings.
