Solicitation 12639518R0004, formerly AG-6395-S-17-0100
1. Are listed drawings available for the following?
0. Conduit Cable Schedule
0. Clarifier CP-1150 & 2150 Wiring Diagram
0. Train 1 & 2 Wiring Diagrams
0. Instrument and Electrical Equipment Data Sheet
The design is for a packaged water treatment system based on design drawings and input from WesTech. The design includes electrical power to the control cabinets, and Instrumentation & Control (I&C) equipment based on specifications and input from WesTech. The raceway system for the devices are included in the design, but the actual low voltage control and monitoring wiring will be based on the equipment manufacturer’s schematics. The actual system I&C schematics for the system will be provided by the equipment manufacturer.
1. Sheet 59 of the Project Drawings includes two notes regarding removable roof structures. One calls out ‘Option 1’ and the other ‘Option 2’. Please clarify if these two options are alternates or if the ‘Options’ refers to USDA having two options to remove the roof structures and both need to be constructed as part of the contract.
The base bid requires a portion of the sunshade roof to be removable. The contractor may elect to bid and construct either option 1 (a single large opening) or option 2 (two removable panels). The key consideration is that when the section of roof is removed, the opening(s) should be completely clear of obstructions to allow removal of the tank equipment.
1. Section 13 34 19 of the Project Specifications calls out for a wind load of 140 mph. Based on our experience, this should be closer to 100/110 mph for this project location area. Can you please verify the desired wind load?
Structural notes on Drawing S1 are correct. Ultimate design wind speed of 140 mph for a 3 sec gust under ASCE 7-10 for Risk Category III is correct. Statement of Special Inspections at the end of Section 01 45 33 is correct. Basic Wind Speed is referenced in IBC 2012 1705.10 for special inspection.
