About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation 12505B25Q0030 regarding small square straw bales. The Q&A clarifies that the required straw bales must be US Grade No. 1 wheat or oat straw per USDA standards, and while the bales should be weed-free, certification is not required. The solicitation is for up to 120 tons, with vendors allowed to quote by individual bale or bundle rather than by ton if they provide conversion rates. The incumbent contractor is JC Material Handling Co., L.L.C. under IDIQ #12505B23D0011 with a maximum value of $42,360.00.
The document confirms that unloading equipment (forklift, skid loader, and portable ramp) is available on-site. Additional clarifications indicate that the technical specifications are detailed in pages 9-11 of the SOW, and that the agency cannot provide sample responses as guidance for new vendors. Vendors are directed to the Attachments/Links section on SAM.gov for all solicitation documents and are advised to contact the SAM Helpdesk at 866-606-8220 for any technical issues accessing materials.
