Questions and Answers Amendment 0001 - Air Filters, Beltsville, MD 12505B24Q0359
Q1: Please confirm the Size of Bldg 007 Filters:
A: Size should be 24X20X12-95% Single Header Box Filter Qty. 15
A: Size should be 16X20X2 – Pleated MERV 10 Filter.
A: All other sizes are correct
Q2: Please confirm the Size of Bldg 010A filters
A: Size should be 20X20X2-Pleated Merv 10 Filter
A: All other sizes are correct
Q3: Would MERV 11 Filters work in place of the MERV 10s?
A: MERV 11 Air Filters would be acceptable
Q4: Would it be sufficient to package and label the building orders separately by box or pallet and indicate on the outside of the box or pallet wrap which building it is designated for or does it have to be indicated on each individual box itself?
A: Each individual building should be packaged and marked separately for delivery.
Q5: The RFP states "all deliveries to ship to 10300 Baltimore Ave. Bldg.426 Beltsville, MD 20705" as well as stating "We would like to have a contractor deliver MERV 10 pleated air filters to each specified building listed below throughout BARC campus." So does this order need to be delivered to the main address or will it need to be delivered and then divided so that it can be delivered individually to each additional building? If that is the case can each of these buildings accept box/freight truck deliveries or will the items need to be transported by hardcart or pallet jack?
A: The air filters would need to be delivered to each individual building. The address would be 10300 Baltimore Ave. Beltsville MD 20705 for the following buildings: 001,003,004,006,007,010 Greenhouse,010A,010B, 011 HH6, and 012. Items will need to be transported by hardcart or pallet jack.
A: The address for the other buildings is building # - Powder Mill Rd. Beltsville, MD 20705 and those buildings are as follows: 426, 303,306,307,307B,307C,308C,229, 204,177A, 1043,1045, and 1180.
Q6: Are all the filters to be delivered at one time?
A: Quarterly delivery is not required; it is understood that some filters require a greater lead time, and filters may be delivered at separate times. A delivery schedule should be coordinated with requirement owner upon award.
A: The most important thing is that the company and the driver making the delivery understand that the air filters will need to be delivered to each individual building.
Q7: To my understanding the USDA requires the full schedule provided in the SOW to be delivered quarterly to each building for 1 year, i.e. the quantities listed multiplied by 4 for each quarter. Is this correct?
A: No, the quantities listed are the quantities that are required to be delivered.
Q8: Is there an incumbent for this contract?
A: No, this is the first contract for Filters only. Previous contracts contained Filters and other ancillary items
