Question 1: The bottom left call out states “4” minimum compacted aggregate base. [precast pads on undisturbed earth under each spacer].” Is the contractor required to install compacted aggregate base and/or precast concrete pads under duct spacers?

Typically, duct bank spacers are placed directly on undisturbed earth.

Answer: Yes. Install per detail.

Question 2: Is the #4 rebar in the duct bank detail continuous for all duct bank, including in grassed areas, or just under pavement?

Answer: Continuous for all duct bank, including grassed areas.
