About this file
This document contains Questions and Answers (Q&A) for Amendment #1 of Solicitation 12444625Q0009 for road grading services in the Superior National Forest. The Q&A provides critical clarifications about the contract requirements, including work parameters such as no mile markers or survey/staking needed, no additional material allowed for road surfaces, no ditch cleaning or compaction testing, and specific work hours limited to 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Key details include traffic control and signage being roadway-specific and determined by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), with warning signs to be agreed upon during a pre-work meeting. The Statement of Work indicates 4 grading rounds for the East district and 5 for the West district, with bidders expected to price each road line item for multiple gradings per calendar year. Contractors are instructed to price per mile according to road location and type, with the estimated quantity representing total mileage for each district and road type for the year.
