1. GPS Coordinates:

Dutchman Lake: N 37.49063 W 88.91609 Frank's Tract: N 37.55029 W 88.55730

2. Would the Contracting Officer please confirm which riprap class is required?

Riprap Gradation may be found in January 1, 2022 IDOT Standard specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Article 1005.02, pg 777.

3. - REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS ON PAGE 19

4. Whether the 5-acre quantity refers primarily to the mowing area or whether vegetation/tree/debris clearing is expected throughout the entire 5 acres.

Tree and debris removal is just for the primary spillway at Dutchman, there is a picture below.

5. If clearing is limited to designated portions of Dutchman Lake, approximately what area or extent requires clearing and vegetative removal?

Just the area around the primary spillway.

6. Whether there is an approximate quantity, density, or description of the trees, brush, logs, and debris anticipated for removal at Dutchman Lake.

See the photos below for types of debris to be removed

7. Could the Government please clarify the required placement of Illinois Class 3 riprap at Frank’s Tract?

a. Should the riprap be placed across the horse trail, preventing horse passage? Per the specs the riprap is to go at the primary spillway, not the emergency spillway. Mid dam there is an 8 inch pipe that is under water that needs to be cleaned, once it is clear the riprap is to go around that pipe.

b. Should it be placed on both sides of the horse trail while keeping the trail open? This is not the correct location.

c. Or is another placement configuration required? It goes at the primary spillway.

8. Does this project require any type of bond? NO

9. Would I be allowed to drive a truck (single axle <26,000lb) on top of both dams?

Yes you would be able to, s long as any damage to the surface is repaired after use.

10. Class 3 riprap (600-2300lb) has a large range on the size. Is 800 lb riprap OK?

IL Class 3 Riprap is starts at 100% passing a 100lb stone. See the IDOT spec above for the riprap size

11. At Franks tract does the riprap go on the inlet or outlet of the spillway?

It goes at the inlet pipe, to reduce vegetative growth. There is an 8 inch drain pipe that is covered in the photos attached, that needs to be cleaned out.
