About this file

This is a prevailing wage determination for federal construction contracts in Yakima County, Washington, effective January 2, 2026. The determination (General Decision Number WA20260119) supersedes the previous decision (WA20250119) and applies to building construction projects excluding single-family homes and apartments up to four stories.

The wage determination establishes hourly rates and fringe benefits for numerous construction classifications including: heat and frost insulators ($75.37 base rate, 18.82% fringes), bricklayers ($39.57, 20.5% fringes), tile finishers and setters ($27.26–$36.35, 11.99–14.57% fringes), carpenters ($44.21, 17.28% fringes), electricians ($60.00, 27.78% fringes), ironworkers ($57.94, 34.52% fringes), various laborers ($40.56–$52.31, 15.60–17.01% fringes), plumbers ($47.74, 28.52% fringes), and equipment operators including concrete pumps, cranes, and dozers ($52.92–$60.67, 17.57–27.57% fringes). Additional rates apply for counties west of the 120th Meridian and include state-adopted rates (SA identifier) and union average rates (UAVG identifier). The determination notes that Executive Order 13706 on paid sick leave and Executive Order 13658 on minimum wage requirements apply to covered contracts. Unlisted classifications may be added after award per 29 CFR 5.5(a)(1)(iii). The document includes guidance on wage determination appeals processes through the Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division.
