About this file
This is a Statement of Work for the Wapiti Ranger District Warehouse Roof Replacement Project located at 2285 N Fork Highway, Cody, Wyoming 82414. The project requires furnishing and installing approximately 20 squares (2,000 square feet) of new roofing, with repair and replacement of soffit sheeting as needed on a Forest Service-owned warehouse. The existing asphalt roof is to be replaced with a metal roof system, with all existing roof material removed and disposed of by the contractor. Soffit and sheeting quantities are unknown and will be bid as option items awarded upon completion, with actual quantities measured by the contractor. All work must comply with the current International Building Code, Federal Acquisition Regulations, applicable local building codes, and manufacturer specifications. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all required state and local permits at no additional cost to the Forest Service. Any damage to the structure caused by roofing activities must be repaired by the contractor at no additional cost, with all repairs completed by a licensed specialist as applicable. Current Davis-Bacon Act wage determinations apply for Park County.
Work must be completed within 30 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, subject to authorized extensions. Operations are limited to 0800-1600 hours daily. Roofing material must only be placed when the roof is completely dry; work must be postponed if frost, dew, rain, snow, or moisture is present, with adverse weather days recorded and considered for contract time extensions. A designated staging area will be provided by the Contracting Officer; driveways may not be used for staging and must remain clear for occupants. A pre-work meeting is required before work begins, at which the contractor must present and obtain approval of a detailed work plan and schedule. The contractor must submit all new materials, including the proposed roofing system, fasteners, and hardware, to the Contracting Officer for approval no later than two weeks after award and before installation and payment. Removed materials become the contractor's property and must be taken off-site. Government inspections do not relieve the contractor of responsibility for quality control; the contractor must develop and maintain an effective quality control program to identify, prevent, and ensure non-recurrence of defective services or materials.
