About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity 1240LT26Q0097 addressing the Driggs and Dubois Siding Replacement project. The document clarifies contract scope and specifications for bidders considering this opportunity.
The project requires siding replacement at both the Driggs and Dubois locations and cannot be bid for a single location. Fiber cement siding with integral factory finish is specified, and all bids must include fully-finished, painted products. For Dubois, contractors must submit white siding samples for approval; for Driggs, log wood color samples require approval by the Contracting Officer after award. Post wraps are excluded from the contract scope. Soffit and fascia work is limited to the Driggs Bunkhouse only as shown in contract drawings. Paint application may be completed by spray or roller. End vents may be eliminated on Dubois units due to ridge vent roof replacements, but existing end vents must be retained for Driggs and Dubois Bunkhouse units. A radon system at the Driggs location requires coordination with the Contracting Officer/Contracting Officer's Representative to de-energize the fan system before work begins; the radon vent must be detached during demolition and reattached after siding installation. Payment follows FAR 52.232-16 Progress Payments, with the government making progress payments monthly in amounts of $2,500 or more as approved by the Contracting Officer. Subcontracting is permitted as prescribed in the solicitation. A local dump is available for waste disposal. Award decisions will be made according to solicitation criteria with appropriate notices issued as diligently as possible.
