B.2 SCHEDULE NOTES

a) Items labeled as optional are not required to be exercised by the government. If exercised, the contractor will be required to perform the optional work in accordance with the terms and conditions of this contract.

b) One award will be made from this solicitation, contractors must submit pricing for all items.

SECTION C--DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK

C.1 SCOPE OF CONTRACT

Furnish all labor, equipment and materials necessary to accomplish the work under this contract. This project will reconstruct existing paved/gravel roads, parking lots, and trails along Forest Road #214 within the Redfish Lake Recreation Complex. Work will occur at three primary locations as follows:

1. Entrance Area

~2,150 lineal feet of new asphalt roadway from State Highway 75 to the Phase 1 project limits including a slight re-route to accommodate construction of a new 18-vehicle gravel Entrance Station parking lot and ~600 lineal feet of new gravel trail.

2. Roundabout Area

~250 lineal feet of new asphalt roadway pullout including signing, striping, and barrier rock relocation.

Remove three existing destination signs at the roundabout intersection for Forest Roads #214 and #214A and replace with six new destination signs having larger font, symbols, and more concise verbiage.

3. North Shore Area

~3,110 lineal feet of new asphalt roadway from the Phase 1 project limits to the entrance of the Glacier View Campground including a re-route away from the lakeshore to accommodate construction of a new 26-vehicle paved Visitor Center parking lot and access roadway, and a new 44-vehicle paved North Shore parking lot and access roadway.

~1,775 lineal feet of new asphalt trail along the lakeshore (former FS Road #214 and service road/trail), including construction of a new underlying distribution waterline and various services.

Reconstruct the North Shore Day Use Area including site amenities.

Remove/Rehab/Recontour the existing Visitor Center / North Shore parking lots, a former paved service road, and various former road cut/fill sections to render these areas returned to their pre-developed state.

Construction includes, but is not limited to, construction survey and staking, clearing and grubbing, extensive earthwork including excavation & embankment, rock/boulder removal, installation of drainage facilities consisting of culverts and roadside ditches, installation of new waterline piping, service connections, and other appurtenances, minor sanitary sewer manhole adjustments, signing, striping, existing asphalt and underlying aggregate base pulverizing, new asphalt road/parking/trail construction, and construction of other miscellaneous improvements as required.

C.2 PROJECT LOCATION

From Stanley, Idaho proceed south approximately four (4) miles on Idaho State Highway #75 to the junction with Forest Road #214. This represents the point of beginning of the Entrance Area. From there proceed approximately 0.40 miles along the existing Forest Road #214 to the Chinook Bay Campground exit approach which marks the point of ending of the Entrance Area. From there, proceed approximately 1.20 miles along the existing Forest Road #214 to the Redfish Phase 1 limits which marks the point of beginning of the North Shore Area. From there, proceed approximately 0.60 miles along the existing Forest Road #214 to the Glacier View Campground entrance which marks the point of ending of the North Shore Area.

Solicitation No.: 1240LT23R0002
