About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) memorandum for Request for Quotation (RFQ) 1240LP25Q0022 issued by the United States Forest Service (USFS) Procurement & Property Services on April 22, 2025. The solicitation seeks to purchase one 3 slant horse gooseneck trailer, with the procurement 100% set aside for small business entities. The Q&A document addresses five vendor inquiries, including clarifications about trailer specifications such as deck length (18-20 feet, not including the tongue), axle weight, and confirming this is a new purchase order with no incumbent contractor.

The key response guidance emphasizes that the proposed trailer must strictly meet the specifications outlined in the original RFQ, with no specific manufacturer or model predetermined. Vendors are instructed to carefully review the solicitation requirements to ensure their proposed trailer meets all specified criteria. The contract is being issued through the Department of Agriculture Forest Service's Procurement & Property Services Intermountain Zone, with Ismael Sanabria serving as the Contract Specialist.
