About this file

This document contains questions from potential contractors and responses from the government regarding solicitation number 1240BD24Q0001 for temporary housing trailers. The solicitation seeks delivery and setup of 10 trailers of varying lengths up to 30 feet for fire crews located at Ripplebrook. Trailers must have electric appliances and hookups as propane is not available. Beds can be queen, full, or twin size. The existing pads are at least 12 feet wide by 40 feet long. Pricing should be listed per unit with an option for laundry equipment. Delivery and setup are the only requirements, with no long term services. Roof ventilation and air conditioning requirements are specified. A single bed with wall and door is sufficient for a second sleeping space in a trailer under 30 feet.

CONTRACTOR QUESTIONS SOLICITATION 1240BD24Q0001 1112995_MTH_TempHousing Date: 20231611 v.4 Categories Contractor’s Questions Government Response

FLOOR PLAN -

BEDROOM

Would a queen and full size bed be taken into consideration, instead of two queen beds?

Either a Queen or a Full-sized bed would be acceptable; a twin would be as well. The mattress just needs to be better than a foam pad.

DESCRIPTION OF

REQUIREMENT -

POWER

Does it definitely have to be all electric, would propane be accepted?

All appliances need to be electric. We have permanent electric hook-ups for all units. We do NOT have access to propane.

Quote – Schedule of Items

You want a quote for 10 units and not 1 and preferably units with washer and dryer as an option? You also are wanting a lump sum for 10 even though you want each unit price correct?

The Schedule of Items should have a unit price and a total price column. The Unit Price should be inclusive of shipping per unit. The total price is calculated by taking the QTY * Unit Price = Total Price.

Option Item is the Laundry unit in each trailer. It may or may not be exercised. The Lump Sum was not asked for, as there is the potential to pick quantity from any number of quotes received.

DESCRIPTION OF

REQUIREMENT –

Can the trailers be longer than 30 ft and what would be the maximum length acceptable or allowed?

The solicitation states if offering a different length to mark the material as “alternative”
