About this file

This document contains questions from potential contractors and the government's responses regarding solicitation number 1240BD24Q0001 for temporary housing units for fire crews located at Ripplebrook. The government client, the Department of Agriculture Forest Service, requires all-electric appliances as permanent electric hookups will be provided for the units, but propane will not be accepted. Units should include options for either a queen or full size bed. The schedule of items should include unit pricing as well as total pricing calculated by multiplying the quantity by the unit price, and should provide an optional line item for laundry units in each trailer. The client did not request lump sum pricing and may choose to select bids for any quantity of units received.

CONTRACTOR QUESTIONS SOLICITATION 1240BD24Q0001 1112995_MTH_TempHousing Date: 20230711 v.2 Categories Contractor’s Questions Government Response

FLOOR PLAN -

BEDROOM

Would a queen and full size bed be taken into consideration, instead of two queen beds?

Either a Queen or a Full-sized bed would be acceptable; a twin would be as well. The mattress just needs to be better than a foam pad.

DESCRIPTION OF

REQUIREMENT -

POWER

Does it definitely have to be all electric, would propane be accepted?

All appliances need to be electric. We have permanent electric hook-ups for all units. We do NOT have access to propane.

Quote – Schedule of Items

You want a quote for 10 units and not 1 and preferably units with washer and dryer as an option? You also are wanting a lump sum for 10 even though you want each unit price correct?

The Schedule of Items should have a unit price and a total price column. The Unit Price should be inclusive of shipping per unit. The total price is calculated by taking the QTY * Unit Price = Total Price.

Option Item is the Laundry unit in each trailer. It may or may not be exercised. The Lump Sum was not asked for, as there is the potential to pick quantity from any number of quotes received.
