Questions and Answers

Question 1: SNARC Location: Total count of T8 LED tubes needed based on fixture count with number of tubes in each fixture. (not including the 450 tubes extra 4ft. tubes they requested for their maintenance team to install).

Answer 1: Approximately 911 T8 bulbs 4 bulb fixtures.

Question 2: SNARC Location: Need to know if they have all 4ft. Fluorescent, and, or 2ft. Fluorescent tubes as well.

Answer 2: Approximately 911 T8 bulbs in 4 bulb fixtures. Not familiar with Ubend tubes.

Example: (150) 2x4 fixtures with (4) tubes ea... 2x2 Ubend tubes (20) fixtures with (2) tubes ea.

Question 3: SNARC Location: Total count of recessed can downlights, size, type of existing bulb.

Answer 3: Approximately 75 can lights. 12-watt LED

Question 4: SNARC Location: Total count of Exit Signs, Exit Combo Signs (these are exit signs with the 2 bug lamps on them...usually at man doors needed for egress) and Emergency Light fixtures.

Answer 4: No: (exit signs with the 2 bug lamps on them...usually at man doors needed for egress) and Approximately 8 Emergency Light fixtures. 12 exit signs

Question 5: DBNRRC Location: Need to get a pic of the 24' x 6' sign in order to spec the right material

Question 6: DBNRRC Location: Total count of Emergency Battery Backups needed in the Restrooms and Seed Cooler

Answer 6: Six (6)

Question 7: DBNRRC Location: Need to confirm if the high bays needed should actually be at 1000W LED....or did they mean 1000W equal to metal halide. A 1000W LED High Bay typically goes in a space where the lights are hung 40 to 60 ft. from the finished floor. I run across those high of mounts rarely.... usually in very large factories or steel fabrication plants.

Answer 7: 1000W equivalent to metal halide.

Question 8: For both locations, we need to know the voltage they're running lights at (VAC). Interior office space is most likely 120V, but the high bays and parking lot lights may be at 277V or higher.

Answer 8: SNARC – 120V, DBNRRC – 277V

Question 9: Will a permit be required for this project?

Answer 9: No, a permit is not required.

Question 10: Will everyone onsite be required to be badged in order to perform work?

Answer 10: No, but must sign in and out on site.

Question 11: Are Lighting Alternates acceptable to bid?

Answer 11: Lighting is to meet SOW specifications

Question 12: In executing this project, can one superintendent fulfill the supervision, safety, and QAQC roles?

Answer 12: Yes, Contractor will be required to oversee and provide all safety training and equipment for their employees.

Question 13: Are contractors required to issue a contract specific QA/QC Plan?

Answer 13: Yes, a QC Plan is required.

Question 14: Are contractors required to issue a contract specific Safety Plan?

Answer 14: Yes, a Site Safety Plan is required.

Question 15: Is this project tax exempt?

Answer 15: Tax exemptions are not applicable.

Question 16: Can drawings be provided?

Answer 16: No, drawings are not available.

Question 17: Can the site visit sign in sheet be provided?

Answer 17: The site visit sign in sheet shall not be provided. The document is for internal use only.

Question 18: What is the quantity of exit signs?

Answer 18: 12

Question 19: What is the quantity of parking lot LED Light fixtures?

Answer 19: 3

Question 20: Existing light fixture poles and electrical circuits will be reused. Please confirm.

Answer 20: Yes

Question 21: No light switches are being replaced, please confirm.

Answer 21: No

Question 22: Are there 450 light fixtures for which LED T8 bulbs are being installed, or is the total LED T8 bulb count 450?

Answer 22: 450 LED T8 bulbs in addition to all other LED fixtures to be converted.

Question 23: Do we need to quote install for those lights, high bay lights? Or is there no install on these high bay lights required, like there is no install on the 450, 4ft tubes?

Answer 23: No install is required for the high bay lights.
