About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) to gather feedback and information from Third-Party Logistics (3PL) firms for the storage, transportation, and distribution of food products for the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) and the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP).

The RFI seeks information on a proposed 3PL distribution model to support the storage and delivery of dry, refrigerated, and frozen food products, including requirements for multiple warehouses and/or regional distribution solutions. Respondents are asked to address program challenges such as supply chain resilience, inventory management, variable delivery volumes, technology integration, and customer communication. AMS requests recommendations on contract incentives, data requirements, quality assurance, system integration, and contingency planning to inform a future solicitation. Responses to the RFI are due by November 4, 2024, and will not be shared publicly. AMS may use the information gathered to create a future solicitation, but non-participation does not preclude submitting a proposal in response to any future opportunity.
